Toyota Grand Highlander Exterior and Interior Design
Architectural angles, sharp character lines and smooth curves combine on all sides of the Grand Highlander to minimize the SUVs general boxy appearance. Front ends boast large, trapezoid-like grilles that extend from mid-line to the lower body. Sharply angled and narrow headlights sit beneath the bottom hood edges and veer backward creating an aggressive look. Side views reveal flared and high-cut wheel wells while the roof ends in a spoiler. Brake and taillights mimic the design found in the front while the lower body curves upward to reveal dual rectangular chrome-tipped tailpipes.
Grand Highlander interiors are crafted using a variety of soft-touch materials and textures. Seating for all provides plentiful support. Passengers also have more than sufficient head- and legroom. The SUV's rear area has 20.6 cubic feet of space, which extends to 57.9 and 97.5 cubic feet when folding the third- and second-row seats.
Grand Highlander XLE interiors are upholstered in synthetic leather. Both front seats are heated and power-adjustable. Second-row passengers have the comfort and convenience of sunshades. Stepping up to the Limited level adds ventilation ability to the front seats while second-row seats and the leather-wrapped steering wheel gain heating ability. The upgraded interiors also include leather-trimmed upholstery.
Platinum level models add leather upholstery plus a panoramic sunroof, which enhances the view while adding more light to the cabin.
